Fire Safe Australia & New Zealand Pty Ltd. is an independently owned Australian fire protection company. The organization is responsible for the fire and electrical safety compliance of over 5500 individual sites across Australia and New Zealand. Whilst the management of Fire Safe ANZ was skilled in delivering HR outcomes; the ability to track information and the correspondence to staff was becoming increasingly onerous as the business expanded. By providing a single online point for tracking these issues, the Business has greatly improved its HR functionality and efficiency.
Fire Safe had cause to counsel an employee for ongoing poor performance, which was a major driver for its decision to purchase enableHR. Fire Safe used the Counselling for Poor Performance checklists and associated guides and letters to lead them through a procedurally fair performance management process, recording all actions in enableHR’s employee file. The employee resigned from her employment following a second performance management session with the business.
Within 24 hours Fire Safe was contacted by NSW Work Cover and advised they had received a complaint for workplace bullying from the ex-employee. During the investigation Fire Safe took the investigator through the performance management process and documentation contained in enableHR to evidence the legitimacy of their actions against the employee. Following his investigation, the investigator closed the complaint within a week without taking any action.
